Born and raised outside Lloydminster, SK, Karlie trained in Makeup Artistry and Special FX at the John Casablancas Institute before completing Technical Theatre studies at MacEwan University and a BFA in Theatre Design at the University of Alberta.

An award-winning costume designer, event designer, and multidisciplinary theatre artist, they work across Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. Their practice spans set, costume, and lighting design, supported by a commitment to eco-conscious production and greater representation in the industry.

Credits include work with the Stratford Festival, Kompany Family Theatre, the Citadel Theatre, L’Uni Theatre, Keyano Theatre, St. Albert Children’s Theatre, Walterdale Theatre, DNTTS, Get Off the Stage Productions, and numerous Fringe productions.
